Fall Season

As summer says farewell, we say goodbye to carefree days of fun-filled vacations, field trips, hot days with cool water activities, sandals, shorts, and staying up late. The LPL Day Campers had a fantastic summer, going on a different field trip everyday! They ended the summer with the annual LPL Campout and a trip to Water World! It was definitely a summer to remember!

It is also time to welcome fall and school! As the weather and colors change outside, our priorities change inside. It's a busy time of the year for everyone. Parents are preparing their children for the year ahead, children are looking forward to seeing old friends, and teachers are preparing for school. Going to bed early, making sure everyone has a light jacket, buying school supplies and clothes becomes our only thoughts. We, at Little Peoples Landing, look forward to watching your children grow and learn in knowledge and activities this year.

Kindergarten Two of our centers offer private kindergarten classes: our southwest Littleton center and one of our Fort Collins centers. They follow the same curriculum as the neighborhood schools, so they are taught the same information and properly prepared for first grade. To get more information, contact those centers directly.

Fall Student and Family Portraits This is the season when busy parents can take advantage of having their annual family portrait and/or their child's picture taken by a professional at each center. Lifetouch does a great job with the individual/family photos and will be doing all schools. Dates and times vary from location to location. LPL provides one free 8x10 family photo as a gift, so bring the whole family for a great photo keepsake.

Circus Every year the circus comes to town and we want to give your child(ren) the opportunity to go to the circus with us. The children love the spectacular performances that the circus delivers and will remember it forever.

Halloween Carnival Our annual Halloween carnivals and class party's will be going on the week of Halloween so make sure to get all dressed up and enjoy the fun and games. We will have a cakewalk for baked goods as well as a (not so haunted) haunted house.

Pumpkin Patch visits will be going on this fall where the children get to choose their own pumpkin to take home!

Thanksgiving Feasts will be planed the week of Thanksgiving and anyone is welcome to fill up with a classic style turkey and mashed potatoes lunch! Gather up your family and join us in giving thanks.

"An optimist sees an opportunity in every calamity; a pessimist sees a calamity in every opportunity."
-Winston Churchill

Santa Pictures will be scheduled at the end of November and beginning of December. We are very excited to have Santa visit all of our schools and pose in a picture with every child! This is a gift from LPL and will be free of charge so be sure not to miss this great photo!

Why We.........

This section is intended to better communicate with our parents and explain to them why we do some of the things that we do.

............. Have "Sammy the Sanitizing Seal"

We, at LPL, are always looking for a way to improve our schools. We believe that a clean environment is the first step in preventing the spreading of germ s and illnesses. While we constantly remind the children and staff to wash their hands, we still have seasons where illness runs rampant. In this never-ending battle, we have installed a friend for our LPL families. His name is "Sammy the Sanitizing Seal" and you may have noticed him balancing his red, white and blue ball on his nose. His ball holds hand sanitizer and he is here to remind the children (and ourselves) how important it is to have clean hands. So as you start your day and leave LPL each day, stop at "Sammy the Sanitizing Seal" and use a squirt to stop germs in their tracks. Please see your director if you are unsure how to operate the ball.
