Summer Season
Day Camp
School is out and it is time to have some fun this summer
at Little Peoples Landing Summer Day Camp. For enrolling, your child
receives his/her own LPL t-shirt and a water bottle with the LPL logo on
it. Shirts and water bottles are left at the school to ensure that these
items stay clean and are there everyday for your child. There is a
different field trip every day which is designed to provide your child with
outdoor fun, plenty of exercise as well as being educational and
interesting. We provide an atmosphere that encourages friendship building
and social skill development. Some of the highlighted field trips
are: Water World, Elitches, Denver Zoo, fishing, history museums, planetarium,
and rafting. Lunches and snacks areincluded as well as we have a
BBQ once a week. Where ever your location is, we have a summer camp that
will give your child an experience of a lifetime.
Summer
Safety
As you know, Colorado weather is unpredictable and it
sometimes gets extremely hot. We, at LPL, take great precautions to
protect our children from the elements by having plenty of sunscreen and water
available whenever they are outside, whether on a field trip or out in our own
playground. If yourchild(ren) require special sunscreens or
have other heat-related issues we ask that you notify the Director and your
child's teacher. We also ask that you look at the calendar to see the
field trip that dayso you candress your child appropriately.
We make sure to keep track of each child's special needs. Our goal is to
provide a fun and safe summer for all our children.
Annual BBQ and
Luau
Every year Little
Peoples Landing has a luau to thank the parents for allowing us to care for
their most precious possession in life.We know how special your children are and this is a great way to thank
the parents. Please join us for some
chicken and fun!
LPL Clippers
and the MS 150 Bike Tour
This is
the Clippers 19th year partaking in the event and is a blast every
year. The dates are June 28thand 29th. Also, this year
our LPL kids will be participating in a bike-a-thon on June 12th to
help raise money for the MS cause. Get
in touch with your Director if you are interested in pledging or joining the
team for the MS 150. We look forward to
seeing you there!

difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength,
not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack in will.”

Parents Night Out- is a wonderful service LPL offers parents and
children. Parents can bring their
children from 5:00pm to 12:00 midnight, so they can have a special night
out. The children are fed dinner and a
snack; they play games, do fun activities and watch movies. Each school offers PNO once per month and a
child doesn’t have to be enrolled at LPL for their parents to drop them
off. Dates and times vary from location
to location.
Why We…….
This section is intended to better communicate with our
parents and explain to them why we do some of the things that we do.
………….have a campout and fishing trip
We know
with the busy lifestyles our parents have, it is not always convenient for them
to take the time to go camping or fishing.Additionally, we realize that not all of our parents enjoy these
activities. We believe that a well
rounded summer experience for the children includes camping and fishing. It is an interesting learning experience for
everyone involved.
